I'm 23, going to the doctor to check my myoma (4x5cm), I found out that I had a cyst on my left ovary. One "sick" ovary is twice as large as the he althy ovary (he althy 2x3, sick 4x6). The gynecologist told me to start taking birth control pills that should help shrink the cyst. I don't know what to think, will it do anything? My period is running out, my lower abdomen has started to hurt, I am afraid that I am taking them to a disadvantage. I would like to add that the CA125 test was high 100, HE4 is normal, the ROMA test is also ok. Please help, I don't know what to do.

Hormonal contraception in the treatment of functional ovarian cysts is currently not recommended, an increase in the concentration of ca 125 may be associated with endometriosis, but also with many other diseases other than the sexual organ, it is also increased during menstruation and in smokers.
