I am 53 years old, after a heart attack and after two back surgery. I weigh 101 kg, I don't exercise. The operations did not help, because after walking 300 m, my left leg is still getting numb. What can I do to lose weight?
Taking into account your he alth condition, it will be most important that you start proper nutrition. Changing your eating habits will help you feel better, lose weight and take care of your he alth. Diet is 70% of success and the state we are in. For this reason, you should drink a minimum of 3 liters of water a day. Make it a process and keep increasing this amount every day until you have enough drinking.
The second issue is the meals. You should normalize your nutrition. Fixed meal times will be a sign for the body that it does not need to store body fat. You should eat a lot of vegetables, groats and lean meat and eggs, avoid white bread, highly processed products, alcohol and sugar.
When it comes to physical activity, I can recommend Nordic walking poles and a swimming pool. In water, you do not burden the joints or the spine. Most of all, however, I recommend visiting a clinical dietitian in order to individually adjust your diet, which will take into account all your ailments. Please also visit a physical therapist to develop an exercise program that will strengthen your muscles after surgery.
