I heard that you shouldn't eat right before and right after exercise. So how much time should you wait?

The pre-workout meal should be eaten approximately 2 hours before the planned exercise. It should contain carbohydrates slowly absorbed by the body and containing a large amount of dietary fiber, such as: coarse-grain bread, dark groats, pasta, porridge, legumes. A post-workout meal should contain wholesome protein in the form of lean meat, cold cuts, fish and dairy products, and carbohydrates in the form of rice, fruit and juices. It should be consumed within an hour after the end of exercise.
