I lead a sedentary lifestyle. My knees and calves have hurt for some time. In the morning, while still in bed, I should be refreshed because I sleep well and my legs ache. I am thinking of buying an orbit, and maybe a bicycle would be better. I wouldn't want to hurt myself. What would you recommend?
Quiet physical activity will definitely help strengthen joints and ligaments. In your case, I recommend a stationary bike, because exercises on it put less strain on the knee joints. At the beginning, please exercise every other day, starting with 30 minutes of activity. With time, you can extend your training up to one hour. I recommend a moderate pace that allows normal conversation during exercise. Lower body stretching exercises would also be very helpful. The more flexible the muscle is, the less it affects the joints. I recommend organized classes, such as stretching or Pilates. If the pain worsens or lasts for a long time, I recommend going to an orthopedist for a thorough diagnosis of the problem.
