I have scoliosis, which, according to the doctor, is not progressing anymore. What kind of exercises cannot I do? I want to exercise at home to lose my belly after pregnancy, but I don't know if I will hurt myself.

Scoliosis is a curvature of the spine in three planes (frontal, sagittal and transverse), but the manner of deformation is individual in each case. The form of activity should be selected by a doctor and / or physiotherapist who knows the details of the ailments, e.g. curvature angles. When it comes to scientific reports, the issue of scoliosis exercise is controversial. Some scientists believe that exercise has no effect on the course of scoliosis (Cassella & Hall, 1991). When it comes to home exercises, I would eliminate weight-bearing workouts and workouts that put strain on the spine (e.g. zumba or jumping dance). It is best to choose a light or moderately intense form of exercise, e.g. walking, swimming, fitness in the water.
