I am 38 years old. I was diagnosed with cholecystolithiasis. I also have asthma and respiratory and heart problems. How can I lose weight with these ailments and can I exercise at all? I'm afraid my gallbladder might burst.

Before introducing exercise, you should consult a physician who knows the advancement and history of your diseases and the treatment method.

Research suggests that increased levels of physical activity help prevent the formation of gallstones (JAMA; The New England Journal of Medicine, 1999). Moreover, studies have shown that a high level of physical activity reduced the risk of gallstone symptoms by as much as 70% (European Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, 2010). However, physical activity must be introduced gradually and be regular. In turn, properly treated asthma (apart from the acute phases of the disease symptoms) is not an obstacle to physical activity.

Until your doctor's appointment, please pay attention to your diet, avoid excessive amounts of fat (but do not eliminate it completely), sugar, and increase the amount of fiber and water. You should eat 3-4 meals regularly throughout the day, in not too large portions.
