Currently, the most popular are yoga, pilates, spinning and all kinds of dance aerobics, such as zumba.

Formerlyfitnessclubs mainly offeredexercisesfor young, he althy people who like to be active. Now everyone, regardless of age and condition, will find something for themselves. During classes, you can not only burn excess body fat and sculpt your figure, but also calm down, rest or, on the contrary, release energy.

The trainings also have other, special tasks, e.g. they support the treatment of various diseases, mainly those related to sedentary work. Clubs usually offer tickets for any number of entries per week, and you can freely change activities until you find the one that best meets your expectations.

Fashionable activities: yoga, tai-chi, pilates

For several years, the "body & mind" trend, which is exercises that improve both the body and mind, has been developing very quickly. There is a growing interest inyoga , tai-chi, and qi-gong, the purpose of which is to unblock the free flow of energy in the body and achieve full physical and spiritual balance.

For those who find static yoga boring and too slow, body art classes have been developed based on it, which are more varied and have a more lively pace. Recently, you can also practice with us a dynamic version of yoga, which is very popular in the West, called power-yoga.

Pilates is on top, also known as "well-being training". It combines, among others elements of yoga, tai-chi, ballet and strength exercises. The classes strengthen the deep muscles that support the spine and thus prevent its injuries. They add elasticity to the whole body and make the figure slimmer, and they also perfectly calm down and trigger a good mood.

New and a big hit is chi-ball, which works on all the senses. He uses many techniques at the same time, including: yoga, tai-chi, qi-gong, pilates. Elements of color therapy and aromatherapy were also included in the classes. He works with special balls, 15 cm in diameter, produced exclusively in Australia. They are of different colors and beautiful, natural fragrances, e.g. purple has a scent of lavender, green - geranium and red - cinnamon. You intuitively choose a color each time. If, for example, you need peace, tranquility, you reach for the blue ball, and when you are tired of sadness, you are worried about something, your mood will improve with yellow, etc. "body & mind" classes are held with calm, relaxing music, teach proper breathing and, among others. in thanks to meditation techniques, they release from deep stress.

Rehabilitation exercise can be fun

Many exercises offered today, including those listed above, can be performed by people who have problems with motor organs and the spine. With the help of physiotherapists, special activities are also developed, for example under the name "He althy Spine", which alleviate and prevent back pain. The very fashionable fit ball, i.e. exercises with a ball with a diameter of about half a meter, also gives great therapeutic effects.

The ball has been used for years in the rehabilitation of people with orthopedic problems. Gymnastics with her is a pleasant experience, reminiscent of a carefree childhood. You can sit on the ball, lie front and back, lean on it sideways, etc. Trying to maintain balance, you strengthen the muscles that support the spine and are responsible for a correct, upright figure.

The classes do not burden the joints, remove muscle tension and have a good effect on the nervous system. Exercises are a great massage for the spine. They prevent back and neck pain, and also give you the opportunity to play, laugh and relax.

For joint problems - exercise in water

Also, water gymnastics was previously known as a form of rehabilitation, and now it is a fashionable variant of fitness exercises performed with music. People suffering from osteoarticular diseases, arthritis, obesity, after operations, etc., can use aqua aerobics. Thanks to the laws of physics, the body becomes much lighter and you perform exercises in water that would be too difficult or painful for you "on land". you hardly get tired. You don't put stress on your muscles, spine or joints. You don't need to know how to swim to go aqua-aerobics.

Fitness with music

Fitness specialists do their best to make intensive exercises with music as attractive as possible and not boring. In the clubs there are already group activities with a large barbell, e.g. magic bar, for women and men, improving the body's efficiency and strengthening mainly the muscles of the back, breasts, arms and thighs. There are also co-educational workouts using elementsboxing, e.g. aeroboxing, or eastern tae-bo martial arts. Such classes not only sculpt the figure and improve the condition, but also boost self-confidence.

Various types of dance aerobics are developing in parallel (they are becoming so popular that special dance shoes are already produced). These classes use the steps of various dances, e.g. Latin American, Latino dance, Irish, salsa, samba, hip hop, funky, but also African, performed to the sounds of tamas (afro dance), or elements of classical ballet. Workouts release emotions, improve physical condition, but also make your everyday movements more plastic and graceful.

There is a frenzy in the world for one more form of group exercise with music. Spinning, i.e. pedaling on a special stationary bike. Such training is worth recommending, especially in winter, when you cannot ride an off-road bike. The instructor will plan your "route" with the level of difficulty appropriate for you. By pedaling, you can easily sense at what point you are "riding" on the asph alt, dirt road, uphill and downhill, etc. Classes are preceded by a warm-up, mainly of the shoulders, neck and back, and finishing exercises. The music is selected in such a way that it allows you to listen and forget about the effort. Recently, hydrospinning, i.e. cycling in water, has also been developed, but this form of exercise has not yet become popular with us.

Fitness for the elderly, children and pregnant women

Elderly people can go to the fitness club for fit-ball or water gymnastics, but also to activities aimed only at them, such as fitness 50+. There are also trainings for younger teenagers (over 12, with parental consent), called junior aerobics. Their goal is, above all, shaping a shapely figure and preventing posture defects.

Special trainings, for example under the name of "Active 9 months", were developed for pregnant women. Exercise (doctor's approval is required), including improve the functioning of the circulatory and respiratory systems, strengthen the pelvic muscles, reduce the fear of childbirth and pain during childbirth.

Even after having a baby, you don't have to give up physical activity! You can come to the fitness club with a 6-8 week old toddler and exercise with him, e.g. as part of the Active Mum Club. This kind of exercise helps you get back in shape quickly before pregnancy, and also strengthens the bond between you and your baby.
