You sing songs about spring, you write poems, spring even has its celebration. Unfortunately for allergy sufferers, this time of year marks the beginning of a period of troublesome he alth problems.

Nature waking up to life is inherently related to dusting trees, shrubs and grasses. In this way, next to house dust mites or hair, a whole galaxy of additional pathogens appears.

The problem is serious - it is estimated that about 40 percent. Poles periodically have allergic symptoms, and nearly half have a positive allergic skin test for common allergens. The fight against allergies in the open air is similar to that with windmills - we are doomed to fail from the outset. On the other hand, we can deal with it quite effectively at home. Our ally is modern household appliances that help to effectively get rid of allergens. And let the household members breathe fully.

Allergy - a problem at any age

Allergy symptoms are recorded in 10-20% of the population of developed countries, where environmental contamination is much higher. As many as 8 million Poles suffer from allergic rhinitis, which places our country at the forefront of allergic reactions. Common symptoms include runny nose, shortness of breath, watery eyes, trouble breathing, and coughing. Many seasonal allergy sufferers underestimate the topic. This is a mistake, because the long-term and cyclical exposure to allergy sufferers can cause chronic respiratory diseases.

What is dusting in the air?

They are the most sensitizing to deciduous trees, grasses (including cereals) and weeds. Early flowering trees, which develop their inflorescences before the winter period, start to dust the earliest. These include, among others: hazel, birch, and alder. A little later, late flowering trees, such as elm, plane tree, pine, oak and linden, begin their vegetation and pollen production. In Poland, in addition to birch, alder is the most allergenic tree. The symptoms of allergy may be more severe in this case, in addition to the "typical" reactions, there are bouts of severe coughing or tightness in the chest. After the pollination of deciduous trees, grasses and grains lurk allergy sufferers, the pollination of which begins in the second half of May.

How to copewith allergies?

At home, it is important that the air is free of dust, i.e. the natural habitat of mites, mold, fungi and animal hair. Equally important is the absence of tobacco smoke, exhaust gases, toxins from the use of detergents and chemicals. Air humidity should be maintained at the level of 40-60%, and the optimal temperature is about 20ºC. You should also remember about frequent airing of the rooms. In the case of diseases caused by periodic dusting, the time spent in places where the concentration of pollen is high and in situations where allergy symptoms intensify should be limited. It is a good idea to change clothes after entering the house and avoid opening windows in the car. An inseparable element of the lives of allergy sufferers is the fight for a clean interior, and thus frequent washing. The device we use should be tailored to our needs. The ES-HFH914AW3-EU model by Sharpwith a capacity of 9 kg and a comfortable, larger than standard door is a guarantee that we can easily wash large amounts of clothes, bedding or bedspreads. The AllergySmart program is also available, it fights common allergens and bacteria with an efficiency of 99%. Importantly, it is recognized by the British Allergy UK Society, by which it has been approved. Thanks to this solution, we can be sure that our skin and the skin of other household members remains free from harmful, pathogenic particles.

How to maintain clean air at home?

Thorough and frequent washing does not solve the problem of allergenic particles floating in the rooms. Here only an air purifier can help. Sharp is the undisputed leader in this product category. The KC-G40EUW model is an intelligent purifier with a humidifying function that has been gaining recognition among consumers for years. The device, designed for an area of up to 28 sq m, is equipped with four monitoring sensors: dust level (including e.g. PM2.5 dust, cigarette smoke, dead bodies of mites, mold and pollen), temperature, humidity and light intensity. Based on the collected data, the purifier selects the appropriate operating parameters by itself.

The device combines a passive and active method of pollution neutralization. What does it mean? The air sucked in and then passed through the filter system is cleaned and humidified (if the humidification function is activated). Then, enriched with Plasmacluster ions, thanks to the generator emitting them, goes back to the room. Ions reach all kinds of nooks and crannies and neutralize harmful particles, both those floating in the air, as well as adherent ones, which are on curtains, carpets, walls and furniture.Plasmacluster technology also reduces static electricity in objects, so that dust, which has a direct impact on the aggravation of allergy symptoms, does not settle on surfaces and is removed from the air during cleaning. The effectiveness of this method has been confirmed in tests. In a room with an area of 25 sq m, in which the purifier with a High Density ion generator 7000 ions / cm3 worked, the inactivation of viruses took place after 18 minutes, allergens and microbes after 51 minutes, and mold after 49 minutes. Electrostatic reduction in a room with an area of 41 sq m. recorded after 13 min. work. Allergy sufferers will be especially pleased with the special Pollen Function, also known as the anti-dust mode, which increases the detection of the smallest pollutants. For this purpose, the dust sensors are set to a high range, guaranteeing the transition to a more efficient operating mode of the device with even a slight increase in the level of any pollutants. Extremely quiet operation of the device (19 dB +) does not disturb both work and sleep.

What is Plasmacluster technology?

The basis of the Plasmacluster technology, patented by the Sharp brand, is the simultaneous emission of positive and negative ions in the number of 7,000 or 25,000 per cm3[1] . Positive and negative ions, formed from water molecules, encounter pollutants on their way, surround them and, through their mechanism of action, inhibit their development. Positive and negative ions carry an electric charge and are therefore attracted to allergens and other air pollutants that are either positively or negatively charged. The newly formed harmless particles fall to the ground, thus they do not float in the air we breathe. The particles to which Plasmacluster ions have attached themselves are harmless and too heavy to float in the air. When they fall down, you can remove them with regular cleanings, i.e. by vacuuming and dusting. Purification with Plasmacluster ions is carried out at the biological-chemical level. The reactions that take place use only the forces of nature - viruses and bacteria neutralized in this way, odors neutralization or reduction of static electricity take place without the interference of synthetic substances. It is the only completely natural and effective solution.
