I'm 25 weeks pregnant, I'm 32 years old. Three days ago I received my blood sugar results. Fasting the result was 68, and after loading 75 mg, after 2 hours it was 134. This is my second pregnancy, in the first one the results were normal. I borrowed a blood glucose meter and measure my sugar levels after my main meals. The highest result is 128 after lunch (sandwiches with wholemeal bread and cold cuts, yoghurt with dried fruit, banana). The remaining results do not exceed 120. Please answer, is it gestational diabetes? Should I follow a diet or should I make an appointment with a diabetologist?

First of all, your sugar should be marked 1 hour after glucose, and also if you use a glucose meter, please mark it 1 hour after eating. During pregnancy, fasting sugar should be below 100 mg%, and 1 hour after a meal, it should not exceed 135 mg%. If you get these results, you are a he althy person. At the same time, please eat less per meal and more often. If you already have dried fruit, do not eat a banana. Fruit by piece, not by kilograms and do not overdo it with fruit juices. These are the basic mistakes of pregnant women, which result in sugar problems.
