I am 14 years old and have a serious menstrual problem. My problems started when I lost weight and I know that's why I don't have my period right now. However, I have already started to eat normally, I eat all the ingredients that my body needs (meat, protein, vitamins, etc.). I've even put on a bit of weight lately. I know that I have upset my endocrine system and I realize what it may be. I have never been to a gynecological office before and I am afraid of this visit, I do not think I am ready for it yet, so first I decided to ask you for a suggestion on what to do. I also know that the doctor can prescribe hormones for me, and I really don't want to take them because I know that they put on a lot of weight. Do you think the period will come back by itself ??? I am so afraid. Please tell me what to do in this situation.

Dear Madam, You are right that the lack of menstruation may be the result of hormonal disorders caused by weight loss. Please wait 3 months, if your period does not return, you will need a gynecological visit or hormonal tests. Meanwhile, please take care of yourself.
