My son (23) has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Research shows that it is very large - it caused a blockage of the bladder. He had a biopsy - the result is not there yet. I'm worried - the question is: if it's malignant, is there any chance of a cure? Should there be a procedure? Can you wait with him? Do you have to remove it and what are the risks?
Further treatment of the son will depend on the result of the biopsy - it will allow to determine the histopathological type of the tumor in the prostate. In some cases, it is necessary to remove the prostate. If possible, the procedure should not be postponed. The prognosis for the further course of the disease depends on the type of cancer diagnosed.
