I have been struggling with this problem for 9 months. Open wounds formed on the lower limbs. After a few months, these wounds healed, except for one on the lower right tibia. At first I had a bruise there, then it started to grow, I got a scab. At this point, I have 2 wounds of approximately 68 and 88 cm. It keeps growing and the pain is excruciating. I am on 40 mg Prednisolone a day and 1000 mg Mycophenolate 2 times a day. In addition, I got morphine in long-acting tablets of about 10 mg, which I am supposed to take 2 times a day, but I have to save myself from dihydrocodeine 60 mg, which I take about 3-4 a day. Is there any more effective treatment than the one I am on? The wounds, unfortunately, keep getting bigger and I don't know who to turn to for help anymore.

If the therapy has no effect, it is necessary to modify it. There is a wide variety of medications used to treat pyoderma gangrenosum.

Treatment is always determined individually depending on the clinical condition and additional tests. You should visit a highly specialized dermatological center (Clinical Centers).
