Hello. At the age of 33, I developed CRS. I was treated in the hospital with steroids, but after this stay the situation got worse. After steroids were discontinued, treatment was continued with diclofenac and duramide as well as auxiliary drugs to improve the condition of the retina. The disease resolved and vision improved. However, image distortions were caused by a retinal scar. After two and a half years, the disease returned in the same eye. The doctor said that steroids should not be used to treat it and there is basically no cure for it and it will go over by itself. I'm 35 years old. I work as an electronics engineer mainly at the computer. I do sports in summer and winter. I jump with a parachute, I go skiing. I eat he althily. I am not overweight or have any medical conditions. Are there any treatments? After the symptoms disappear, can I somehow protect myself against recurrence of the disease? Can it also appear in the he althy eye? What are the causes of the disease? Do I have to change my lifestyle at the time of CRS? Limit sports? Give up jumping? How do you advise to deal with this disease?

Stress is considered to be the main cause of CRS. The fact that you are an active person and you eat he althy - does not mean that you live peacefully on a daily basis. Perhaps you are stressed by the situation at work, perhaps there are other causes of stress. Please do not forget that smoking also has a negative effect on the eyes - and in the case of CRS, you have to give up 100% of it. However, you don't write anything about smoking. To sum up: CRS occurs mainly in young people (up to 40 years of age, very active and under stress. This stress is the most important factor here, and you should think about its "discharge" first of all. life (without jumping).
