Can I undergo laser vision correction at the age of 14?
One of the basic qualifications for laser vision correction is the patient's 20 years of age. It is important because at this age the development of the eyeball (and therefore also its "growth") is completed, so we have stable conditions for calculating the parameters of laser correction. Sometimes laser correction is performed also in children - but in such a situation, as the eyeball grows, the laser correction must be repeated. Although the glasses are not always liked by patients - it is better to wait until the age of 20 with laser correction. Then the doctor performing the procedure can guarantee the best possible effect.
