I am 60 years old and 160 cm tall. I am 3 years after colon cancer surgery. Currently I weigh 75 kg (around 58 kg until I am ill). This weight bothers me, that's why I exercise a lot, nutrition (without diets) is like it was before my illness (lots of vegetables, fruit, little meat, little fried food, rather stewed, a few meals a day). Despite my efforts, the weight does not want to drop. What else can I do or what am I doing wrong?
I would take a closer look at what you actually eat and what your training looks like. As for exercise, it should be adapted to your physical abilities. By consulting with the trainer at the gym, you will know with what heart rate and how long your training should last. At the moment, please do strength training 2-3 times a week and aerobically 5 times a week, e.g. running. The classic rules of nutrition suggest eating 5 small meals with a predominance of vegetables. Please include the eggs and cheese, because you did not mention them. To check that your menu is good, write everything down for at least 7 days. Then go through it and see if you accidentally find flour, processed and sweet foods in it too often. The lack of effect may be related to water retention in the body.
