I am 15 years old, 170 cm tall and weigh 54 kg. I've been training quite hard since the age of 7. A year ago, my weight jumped up very quickly, and I gained quite a lot of muscle tissue and stopped growing. I also had he alth problems then. The blood results were very poor. After many tests, the doctors diagnosed me with asthma. I started taking medications, which made me gain even more weight, and yet my he alth did not improve. At that time, I ate a lot of white bread and wheat products. I put my bread, pasta, cakes and cereals aside completely. I started eating more fish, vegetables and cut back on some fruit. I also stopped eating sweets. I started to feel better, I lost weight, I started to breathe well. But I started to have complexes mainly about my legs and buttocks. Some said that I had a very pretty female figure, while a lot of girls told me that my legs were too bulky, which made me despair. One of my friends asked me if I was fat or so muscular. I started to eat less and less. I lost weight, although it cost me a lot. The trainer praised my weight loss. He decided that I would be better at running. He often repeats that every kilogram less and better results. After a month of not eating sweets, a crisis struck me. At home, I ate anything that had at least a little sugar. I couldn't control myself. After that day, I changed my approach a bit. I started eating sweets once a week. Recently, I started having such seizures more and more often. I'm a bit scared it's symptoms of bulimia. I'm happier with my figure now than I used to be. I have better results in sports. But now I am afraid that I will gain weight all the time. I have seizures and then I starve myself. I know this is not a good solution. I tried the Montignac diet. For some time I followed the rules of the method, but I didn't last too long. I'm afraid I might be addicted to sweets. In addition, I haven't had a period for 4 months. I do not know what to do. Now I want to get rid of these seizures, maintain weight and not gain weight.
Thank you very much for describing your story in such detail. If I understood correctly, it was good for you to put down the wheat. You felt better. See that your bouts of eating sweets have been influenced by other people's opinions about yourstopic. Unfortunately or "fortunately" - people will always talk about us. Some are better, some are worse. The most important thing is how we handle it. By assessing your weight to height ratio using the BMI formula, your weight is already a bit low and you increase the risk of developing an eating disorder, especially since you have not had periods for a long time. What I would advise you to work on is your self-esteem. You are a great young woman, tall with a passion for sports. Don't let anyone break it. I have the feeling that you have mom's support. Talk to her about it. You can visit a school counselor or psychologist to increase your inner strength.
