I am 26 years old and have a problem with very low testosterone. General fatigue, lack of desire for sex, erection problems, drowsiness, distraction. In 2012, an operation to remove varicose veins of the spermatic cord. Testosterone test results made from blood: 07/27/2012 - result 3.34 [2.6-15.9], 10/04/2017 - result 283.73 [142.39-923.14]. After receiving the results, visit the endocrinologist again. Prescribed drug Pregnyl 5000J (x 3 injections). The last injection was given on January 5, 2018 and testosterone re-testing on January 10, 2018, the result - 305.11 [142.39-923.14]. I lead a rather inactive lifestyle, sedentary work. What can be the cause of such a low testosterone level?
Please talk to the attending physician. I can only write in general terms. The cause of low testosterone levels may be testicular failure or insufficiency of the pituitary gland, which produces a hormone that stimulates the production of testosterone (perhaps this is the case with you, because testosterone levels increased slightly after taking Pregnyl), and factors such as stimulants, testosterone-containing diet substitutes, stress .
