I have a question about the skills of 3-4-year-olds. The daughter will soon be 3 years and 4 months old (most of her peers from the yard are 4-year-olds, from January or March). He can get dressed, sometimes he needs help, get a potty, brush his teeth, count up to 5 in Polish and up to 7 in English, knows the colors but does not name them, everything is red or yellow. I also see that when I explain something to her, she does not think about the answer at all, but speaks to the detached person, and maybe she will hit. Reading the opinions of other moms, their 2.5-year-old children even know 10 colors and honestly I am a little worried. My daughter doesn't go to kindergarten because she didn't get admitted. I don't even know where to go and who would have my child examined, what specialist. I try to tell her what color things are whenever possible, but it still doesn't work.

If you feel concerned, it is always better to consult your child with a specialist (educator, psychologist or speech therapist). The information you give shows that the child is developing correctly, because skills such as color recognition and counting appear in a child around the age of 4. Due to the fact that I do not know what other behaviors the daughter is showing, I would advise you to consult, you will receive appropriate tips on how to deal with the child so that it develops well.
