I am 22 years old and have been forgetting single words for some time. Besides, I have recently forgotten the surname or first name of a family member. I also confuse letters when handwriting (e.g. I write p instead of b, e instead of o) or skip single letters in handwriting words. When I forget a word, I cannot finish my speech. I study physiotherapy, I play several instruments. During my school days, I had no diagnosed dyslexia or other learning problems.
You do not write whether the problems are related to an event, for example stress. It would be worth consulting a neurologist to rule out biological factors, and to do a computed tomography of the head and spine. If the test results show nothing, I encourage you to visit a speech therapist who will be able to choose the appropriate exercises to help eliminate the problem.
