I am 27 years old, for some time I have the feeling that I am retreating. My dictionary has become terribly poor, which is why I have communication problems. Because of this, I shut myself up, I try to avoid people and talk to them. I studied well at school, I wrote essays for 4 and 5, and now I do not know what is happening in college. The problem has been going on for about 3-4 years and I have the impression that it is getting worse. My statements are short and simple. I am stressed by the fact that I speak fast and it is not always understandable, I sometimes catch it myself. Public speaking scares me, although I never had a problem with it, this year I have a BA thesis defense and I don't know how I will handle it. I avoid contact with people because I don't want to compromise myself. Could it be nervous? Where to look for the reason?

If you did not have such problems before, they only appeared some time ago, it is worth consulting them. I would recommend seeing a psychologist because it can actually be a kind of stress response. If the psychologist excludes the emotional background, then you can go to a speech therapist for communication training, which will allow you to get used to the challenge of defending your BA thesis.
