What is cleansing the body?

Detoxificationis the removal of toxins, unnecessary metabolic products and unnecessary debris from our body. The cleansing process, of course, takes place on a daily basis. In every cell of the body there are special proteins whose task is to trap harmful substances and transform them in such a way that they can be removed. The role of a scavenger in our body is also played by glutathione, a peptide with very strong antioxidant properties. It attaches to toxin particles, allows them to be dissolved in water and removed. The organ that intensively neutralizes toxins is the liver. The elimination of pollutants takes place through the intestines, the urinary tract, the respiratory system and the skin, in accordance with the principle: what is soluble in water is removed by the kidneys, fat-soluble toxins - by the digestive system. However, our cleansing system is not always able to cope with all deposits.

Cleansing the body - when can it be needed?

Insomnia and sleep disorders , fatigue and lack of energy, headaches, swelling, digestive problems (indigestion, constipation, slow digestion) and skin problems, prone to rashes and eczema may indicate that the body is overloaded with toxins. In such a situation, it is worth using one of the methods of detoxifying the body. It is worth starting with the treatment, then maintaining its effects by cleansing the body once a week or once a month. Fasting is a fashionable method of cleansing. However, they should always be carried out under the supervision of a physician experienced in monitoring such treatments, otherwise they may do more harm thanuseful. Multi-day cleansing diets are also safer.

Methods for cleansing the body

  • Diets.A fruit and vegetable diet is he althy, harmless and effective. It involves eating raw or cooked vegetables and fruits for a week or ten days, and drinking plenty of water and fresh fruit and vegetable juices. From around the seventh day of the diet, we include fermented milk drinks (kefir, yoghurt, buttermilk) and boiled fish or lean meat. If the fruit and vegetable diet seems too difficult and drastic, you can enrich it with groats and fermented milk drinks from the beginning. A detoxifying diet is best carried out during periods of changing seasons, i.e. approximately every quarter.
  • Kherbal treatment.It can be combined with the diet or taken separately with cleansing herbs twice a day. The set of such detoxifying herbs should include: green tea, white barbell, dandelion, violet tricolor, burdock, meadowsweet, Indian jam (tamarind), artichoke extract, fucus and fennel. It is worth including dried fruits in your diet: plums, apricots, grapes.
