Durian fruit can weigh up to 4 kg and reach 40 cm in height. Its rind is prickly yellow-brown in color. On the other hand, its flesh is intensely yellow with the consistency of pudding or raw dough. Durian seeds are the size of chestnuts, with a taste similar to nuts.

The name durian comes from the Malay word "duri" which means "spikes" and is associated with the spiky skin of this fruit.
Durian is a very valued and popular fruit in Asian countries. It is even considered a delicacy. Due to its size and unique "smell" and taste, it gained the name of "the king of fruits".
