- Organic lenses - lighter and thinner
- Anti-reflections not only for work
- Sensitive photochromic lenses
Prescription glasses are used by 10 million Poles, and soon they will be wearing twice as many. Fortunately, modern eyeglass lenses are lightweight, damage-resistant and intelligent - they not only improve vision, but also protect your eyes.
Spectacle lensesare the easiest way to correct vision defects. Glasses with cut glass lenses did not become popular until the 19th century, but they are far from what we have today. Glass as a raw material for their production is slowly being replaced by state-of-the-art organic materials, and new technologies allow the lenses to be covered with coatings that ensure better visual comfort and increase their durability.
Organic lenses - lighter and thinner
Glass has a high scratch resistance, it can be formed into lenses of any corrective power, but it is not lightweight, especially in the case of glasses for people with severe visual impairment, and can be broken. In contrast, lenses made of organic materials with higher refractive index values provide excellent visual acuity, while being lighter, thinner and safer to wear.
Anti-reflections not only for work
Improve the contrast of vision by eliminating diffuse reflections on the surface of the lenses. Thanks to this, the amount of light passing through them increases, which allows you to see the image better, for example on a computer or TV screen. Anti-reflective coatings can also prevent scratching and soiling of lenses and protect your eyes from UV rays and blue light, the excess of which is harmful.
Sensitive photochromic lenses
You could say that these are smart lenses. They adapt very quickly to changing lighting conditions. When we are indoors, they become completely bright, and when we go out into the sun, they darken, making it easier to see and at the same time preventing UV radiation that is dangerous for the eyes. Thanks to this, they can be worn all day, without the need to wear sunglasses.
ImportantEyes under control
The visual defect may change, so you need to see an ophthalmologist or optometrist regularly, who will choose better lenses if necessary. If you wear glasses, do it at least onceyear. For contact lenses, visits should be more frequent, at least every six months.
