Doctor, my question is not about snoring problems, but I hope you will tell me something about my problem. In the fall of 2015, an x-ray examination (performed periodically) showed a small amount of fluid in the right pleural cavity and emphysema. I have never had lung problems, I don't smoke, and I have never had pneumonia or bronchitis. I was treated with an antibiotic and everything was fine by now. For 2 weeks I have had a pain in the right side under the scapula, I did an X-ray and there is fluid again in the right diaphragmatic-costal angle. Where does this fluid come from? Symptom of what disease is it? What specialist tests should I do to find out what it is and to protect myself for the future? I would like to know as much as possible about this. Please note that I am under the care of a doctor but I cannot find out much.

A CT scan of the chest should be done - recurrent fluid in one pleural cavity is an indication for this. The causes of the formation of fluid can be very different, but they certainly cannot be underestimated. If you are under the care of a family doctor, you should ask him to be referred to a pulmonary specialist.
