Hello, my family - husband and adolescent children complain that I snore a lot sometimes - they make fun of me and I'm not laughing. I most often snore when I am very tired or when I have had more than two glasses of wine. I went to the ENT specialist, he looked into the nose, looked down the throat and said that he did not see the cause of the problem. What should I do? Look for another doctor?

Snoring after alcohol - it happens, then there is an even greater reduction in muscle tone and hence the intensification of the snoring symptom. It is also important whether you snore in the supine position or in other positions. If only on the back, when very tired, or after drinking and sporadically, it is enough to change the position. However, if you often snore in different positions, it may be worthwhile to perform a more detailed diagnosis than the ENT examination itself.
