Sometimes you lose them because something went wrong in your life. Instead of your expected success, you got into trouble. Then it's easy to think badly of yourself. Not worth it. It is better to regain confidence in yourself as soon as possible.

How to regaintrustto myself? The nine-step method.

1. Look interlocutors in the eyes

The first symptom that you have lost confidence in yourself is looking away. If someone gives you a sincere look and you turn your head or look down, it means a lack ofself-confidence . It is not a favorable signal that you are sending out to others. It will be more difficult for you to deal with important matters in the office if you do not look at the person you are talking to. The same applies to defending one's own arguments in discussions with friends or during a dispute with a partner.

2. If you are afraid - act

We make a mistake trying to controlfear , e.g. against a new situation, in the face of change or unexpected events. Instead of wasting energy trying to suppress fear (which will fail anyway), turn that energy into action. Speak, take the initiative, come up first with a proposal on how to solve the problem. Take action instead of focusing on the fear.

3. Make contacts

Do you find it impossible for you to talk to your neighbor first or start a conversation with strangers on the train? Give it a try! Most often, people respond to your kind gesture. If you have many relationships, you will be able to find yourself in them. You will find out in which you feel best and those you will care for. Building relationships is the way to meet friends!

4. Jump into deep water

Don't hesitate to take on new challenges. Sign up to learn a new, exotic language. Or maybe learning to climb is a good idea? Don't deny yourself new challenges. After a while, you will be pleased with yourself that you have overcome your own shyness and fear. It's worth a try.

5. Learn from others, but…

… don't copy their behavior. It is good to observe how confident people behave, but you will develop your own style, in line with your personality and temperament.

6. You are the best!

Take advantage of the good old school of affirmation. Yestelling yourself "I can achieve this" or "I am the best" may not get everything done, but it will certainly give you wings. Besides, it costs nothing. Sometimes you just need to do a little bit of work to get over to the winners camp.

7. Speak aloud

It's true that speaking out loud may not necessarily be self-confidence, but it does help you express yourself. It is certainly a much more efficient way of speaking than whispering. Also, avoid the habit of covering your mouth with your hand when you make important points. It certainly doesn't help, and the listener's remark "please speak louder" may baffle you. Look your interlocutor in the eye and address him directly. This is a symptom of self-confidence.

8. Tame your lack of self-confidence

Is lack of self-confidence the feeling of always failing? If so, look at it carefully. Take a piece of paper and write down what you did in the last week, month, year, and what you did in your life. It is impossible that you are still losing, but it is possible that you are only focusing on these facts. Because losing hurts and success is pleasant, so it seems something "normal".

Track how you achieve your goals? Maybe you should divide them into stages and achieve them in small steps, and for each achievement you should brag about and give yourself small pleasures? Then you will be more realistic about your successes and failures. It will become clear to you that you will win after all!

9. Grow

To be successful, you need to be aware of your failures. Look very carefully and analyze your unsuccessful actions. What have you done wrong? Where did you go wrong? You don't have to repeat it all your life. By analyzing past mistakes, you will develop. Because mistakes - as you know - are there to be learned from.
