The Rehabilitation Center for People with MS in Bornem Sulimów is dedicated to people suffering from multiple sclerosis. This is the second facility of this type in Poland.
Due to its modernity and lack of architectural barriers, the center is friendly to people with disabilities. It was designed and built taking into account European standards and the specificity of this type of facility. The project was consulted in three centers: in Dąbek near Ciechanów, Melsborg in Belgium and Haslev in Denmark.
The center is located in a four-storey building and is divided into rehabilitation and treatment and residential and recreation parts. Up to 43 people can stay here at one time.
Patients have at their disposal a swimming pool, a cryochamber, rooms equipped with modern equipmentkinesiotherapy , physical therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, hand therapy. The residential and recreational part is functional and equipped to a high standard. This investment was fully financed by public funds.
The cost of a four-week stay in the center is PLN 1808. The aforementioned amount covers meals, accommodation and 24-hour care, but does not include rehabilitation, which is fully financed by the National He alth Fund. In the event of full payment, rehabilitation can also be provided to people with damage to the central nervous system who do not require constant medical care.
