Sometimes you wake up in the middle of the night and then can't go back to sleep? Check out these tips - maybe they'll help you fall asleep.
Sleep is extremely important to us - it allows us to regenerate, rest and thanks to it we have the strength to start the next day. What if you wake up frequently in the middle of the night and can't fall asleep afterwards? Are you lying down and rolling from side to side and the more you want to sleep, the more you wake up?
Let's start with the fact that the bedroom must be dark! All light sources - an electric watch, smartphone or flashing laptop lights must move out. This prevents them from arousing and distracting you. In addition, it is better not to leave the things that you are going to be dealing with in view - e.g. a pile of ironing clothes. You need to separate work from rest to sleep well.
Make sure the bedroom is aired. We sleep best in a slightly cool room - up to 20 degrees Celsius. Another thing - try to find out what wakes you up! If it is necessary to use the bathroom, drink more during the day and limit water two hours before bedtime.
If you are disturbed by noises, you can use stopwatches. However, using them for too long increases the risk of ear infections.
If you wake up in the middle of the night try to calm down, think about pleasant things. Don't panic that you need to sleep, because sleep won't come anytime soon. Peace of mind is most important. Close your eyes, get comfortable and breathe deeply.
