A topical drug that protects the damaged mucosa of the stomach and duodenum. Under the influence of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, a precipitate is formed from tripotassium-bismuth dicitrate, which adheres mainly to the ulceration area and inhibits the activity of pepsin. As a result, it allows for faster healing of cavities. Moreover, it demonstrates bactericidal activity against Helicobacter pylori.
