I have two large fibroids (12-14 cm) and severe anemia due to monthly bleeding which lasts about 10 days. All doctors send me for a blood transfusion and a hysterectomy, but because of my he alth, I delay my decision. Medications help cure anemia temporarily, after hemorrhages the results and my well-being is terrible again. Is there any pharmacological (hormonal) treatment at all to shrink the fibroids and go for laparoscopy after some time? What medications / herbs should be taken to prevent the menstrual period from being another hemorrhage? The heavy bleeding medications prescribed by my gynecologist did not help reduce the bleeding.

I can only answer in general terms that such large fibroids, which are the cause of heavy menstruation and anemia, are an indication for surgery. Although there are drugs that reduce the size of the myoma and reduce the amount of bleeding in most women, treatment is very expensive and may not be effective for you. If fibroids are the cause of your bleeding periods, then surgery will be of no help to you. The longer you wait, the greater the risk of complications.
