About 6 years ago I started experiencing pain in my feet. After the tests, the rheumatologist found degenerative arthritis (RA excluded). Despite the use of various medications, the pain occurs with different intensity. Currently, I have received a referral to physiotherapy and magnetic field action as well as exercises aimed at increasing circulation. After these treatments I feel less pain in my feet. It made me realize that the pains were probably caused by circulatory issues, which neither the family doctor nor the rheumatologist suggested. I have been treated for arterial hypertension, the results of the tests do not show that the cholesterol level is exceeded. Are my fears correct and should treatment go in that direction?

If the rheumatologist recognized the changes typical of degenerative arthritis in the feet and found them to be the cause of the ailments, it should be assumed that this is the case. You don't mention what circulation exercises are, so it's hard to talk about their role in reducing pain. I am inclined to believe that the comprehensive treatment resulted in the reduction of pain, and you noticed an improvement when you added the exercises "improving circulation" and combined them causally. The typical pain associated with impaired circulation in the lower limbs is rather localized in the calves, increases with walking, and is common among cigarette smokers. on the other hand, degenerative changes are more common in overweight people who lead a sedentary lifestyle. Hypertension as a disease does not cause foot pains, and if the cholesterol level is correct, these issues should not be associated with each other. I encourage you to follow the recommendations of your attending physician.
