We would like to announce on Wednesday the decision to shorten the period of isolation for all citizens who are ill in our country - said the spokesman of the Ministry of He alth Wojciech Andrusiewicz. As he said, the decision will probably be announced by Minister Adam Niedzielski at a press conference.
Wojciech Andrusiewicz added that the idea of shortening the isolation is associated with "a shorter symptomatic period and a shorter period when we actively contaminate and with the need to restore workers in various industries to work."
"With this contagiousness of the virus, we see how quickly people are excluded from the labor market, which has an impact on the economy of our country. These decisions should be made today, up to tomorrow. (To be held) Crisis staff at the Ministry He alth and on Wednesday we want to communicate this to you "- he informed.
Asked whether there are also plans to shorten the quarantine period, Andrusiewicz denied. "For today, there is no question of liquidation of the quarantine (…) The quarantine period remains constant for today, we do not rule out that it will change" - he reserved.
These plans were commented on by Dr. Paweł Grzesiowski on Twitter. He wrote: We are observing patients whose antigen test confirms the presence of the virus in the examination performed after day 5 (day 7-9). In view of the considerations on shortening the isolation for all patients, it is advisable to perform an antigen test at the end of isolation ".
