Synthol is the official trade name of a bodybuilding pose oil. In fact, it is a means of ensuring a rapid increase in muscle mass - the preparation rapidly and uncontrolledly enlarges the muscles to unnatural sizes. Its use may result in disability and even death. Check what Synthol is, how it works and what are the side effects of its use.
Syntholis the official trade name of a bodybuilding pose oil. However, the preparation is sometimes used by someto artificially enlarge the muscles . Thanks to Synthol oil, you can increase the volume of biceps or triceps by up to several centimeters. See how the substance that was included in the banned substances list by the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) works.
What is Synthol and how does it work?
Stnthol is a mixture of approx. 85 percent. sterile MCT oil (oil used in nutrients and energy substances), 7-8% lidocaine (anesthetic) and 7-8 percent. benzyl alcohol. Such a mixture works on a different basis than anabolic-androgenic steroids. It does not stimulate the muscles to grow directly, but causes inflammation within them, which results in a short-term increase in volume.
After an intramuscular injection of the oil, it is retained in the tissues. Synthol immediately builds up between the muscle fibers, creating a large ball of oil, which raises the surface of the triceps or biceps. The final stage is encapsulation, i.e. the formation of a connective tissue bag around the resulting artificial implant (this type of situation takes place, for example, during a contusion).
The preparation increases the arm circumference by up to several dozen centimeters within a few weeks, without any diet or training. In comparison, steroids that are equally dangerous to he alth can increase the circumference of the muscles by only 2.5-4 centimeters.
To keep the effect of giant biceps or triceps, Synthol should be applied regularly, in small portions. Over time, the procedure becomes more and more painful (despite the anesthetic substance contained in Synthol), because injecting the preparation contributes to the formation of adhesions and overlappingon your muscles. In order to properly inject and insert the needle into the fused muscles, you literally have to push it into the muscle tissue, which is extremely painful.

What threats to he alth and life does Synthol bring?
1. Blockages in the vessels
Synthol is given by intramuscular injection. If the injection is not made correctly, there is a risk that the oil will enter the blood vessels (which are found in enormous numbers in the muscles), from where it will be transported with the blood into smaller and smaller vessels, causing them to clog. If clogged blood vessels occur in the pulmonary artery, heart, or cerebral vessels, it can result in pulmonary embolism, congestive heart failure, or stroke, which often leads to death.
2. Risk of infection and muscle necrosis
After injecting the preparation, a large artificial implant grows in the body, which causes pressure and inflammation of the muscles, increasing the risk of infection. In addition, it hinders the normal functioning of the muscles, their oxygenation and the removal of unnecessary metabolic products. As a consequence, the muscles die and, in their place, adhesions of connective tissue form.
3. Muscle abscesses
The sterility of the preparation is questionable. According to bodybuilding specialists, people injecting Synthol should expect very painful abscesses inside the muscles that can only be removed by surgery.
4. Synthol=caricatured look
The person taking Stynhol has no influence on how the preparation is distributed in the body and what shape the muscles take. Therefore, there is a risk that the silhouette will take on disproportionate, caricature shapes that will remain for many years.
5. Rupture of the biceps
People who use Synthol for a long time should take into account the risk of breaking the artificial biceps while flexing it.
Is it possible to remove Synthol from the body?
Once in the body, only a small amount of the oil is metabolized, the remainder encapsulates and stays in the muscles for many years, and residual Synthol can only be removed from the muscles during surgery.
