Hello, my mother has been suffering from intestinal ailments since April, at first we thought it was the stomach. After each meal, my mother used to visit the toilet and so on until July. Now it is better, we went to the doctor and he diagnosed a large amount of gas in the intestines, gave him medication and ordered to follow the so-called diet. relief, i.e. consumption of products that do not cause gas. And this is where the problem arises - I have no idea what products I can combine so as not to cause my mother pain, and thus make my mother stronger. Mum has lost over 12 kg since April. Mom also suffers from heart disease and currently takes about 9 tablets a day. She is 64 years old. I am asking for help and ideas for some meals that will help me regain my form.
Hello, the presence of an excessive amount of gas in your gut can be related to a number of reasons. Unfortunately, it is difficult for me to say what is the cause in this case. However, it is worth paying attention to several aspects: - vegetables from the cruciferous family, so in addition to cabbage, also broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi can cause excessive accumulation of gases - too much fruit and fruit juices can also be the cause - sugar, birch sugar, honey best to eliminate it altogether - carbonated drinks as well as carbonated water promote gas build-up - sweet milk can also be the reason. It would be worthwhile to replace cow's milk with plant-based milk for a while (no added sugar) and check if there is any improvement. In addition, I encourage you to follow a more cooked, baked diet for some time, which will be easier to digest. Regards
