I am an ophthalmologist and I cannot find an answer to the question about the indications or the lack of them for cesarean section after LASIK. I consulted the patient about 25-26 years, after LASIK surgery 4 years ago (initial defect about - 7-8 Dsph for OP and OL), with a corneal thickness of about 520 µm after surgery (I do not remember exactly the thickness) without myopic changes on the bottom eye and I could not express my opinion on the termination of the pregnancy. If it is possible, please give a hint or indicate the relevant literature. I was a participant in the attestation course in Łódź, I am impressed by the doctor's lecture on refractive surgery.
Please measure the thickness of the cornea - if it is below 400 (I think it should be around 420), then it will be cut. If there are no changes in the retina that are likely to be detached (checkered, proliferation), it normally gives birth. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Regards, Dr. hab. n. med. Iwona Liberek Head of the Department of Ophthalmology CMKP
