Everyone has a favorite sleep position. Most people prefer to sleep on their side. This position is also recommended by specialists, but it turns out that sleeping on your back can also have a positive effect on many sleep problems, but not only.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that parents ensure that their children sleep on their backs as it reduces the risk of sudden infant death. While sleeping in this position may not seem particularly good, it can have many he alth benefits.
For adults, sleeping on the back is associated with a positive effect on he alth:
- allows you to keep the spine in the right position and reduce pressure on the chest,
- prevents the formation of wrinkles and facial skin irritation,
- reduces tension headaches.
