My blood pressure is often very low, e.g. 90/60 or 110/65. For a year I have been treated for hyperthyroidism, which is now stabilized. I still take Thyrozol 10 (half a tablet every other day). Is the pressure related to the thyroid gland and what to do with such low pressure? Is coffee enough?
There is a relationship between blood pressure and thyroid he alth. People with hyperthyroidism may develop systolic hypertension. Lowering blood pressure during the treatment of hyperthyroidism indirectly proves that "the thyroid has stabilized" - as you described it in your letter. The pressure values you are quoting may actually cause a certain temporary slowdown in the body's response (lethargy). The easiest way to increase blood pressure is to increase s alt in your diet by eating foods preserved with s alt - cold cuts, cheese, bread - are among the most popular. Sausages and stock cubes contain a lot of s alt. There are also mineral waters with increased sodium ion content. When shopping, it is worth reading the labels informing about the content of individual ingredients. However, you need to control the pressure periodically so that it does not increase too much - the optimal blood pressure is up to 120/80 mmHg. Should the pressure values rise above this value after increasing the s alty foods, you will have to resume the s alt restricted diet. You can also add s alt to food prepared at home.
