"Obesity" is a new educational project on obesity and the he alth risks it carries, implemented in social media by young social activists from Krakow. The action was submitted to the social project platform competition: "Exempt from theories".

The "OtyDość" project is an initiative of three young people from Krakow: Gabriela Jarczyk, a student of a bilingual high school in a class with a biological and chemical profile and the Ballet School of Dance Art in Krakow, Julia Jarczyk - a first-year student of medical analysis at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, the winner of the "Metabolism" competition and Kacper Suder - a high school student in a class with a mathematical, physical and IT profile with extended English and a co-creator of the "Player's eye" channel on YouTube.

The name of the project: "Obesity" alludes to obesity and it is about this disease. The aim of the project is to make the public, especially the youngest generations, aware of what obesity is, how it should be treated safely and what risks it carries if we do not stop its development in time.

The "Obesity" project is implemented through such tools as a dedicated fanpage on the social network Facebook, where educational, motivational and anti-discriminatory posts are published (including how to properly speak and write about obesity, how to return people with obesity, etc.), a website devoted to the project and the channel "Projekt Obesity" on YouTube.

As the young creators and implementers of the "Obesity" project declare: we want to help society live he althier and happier, and help our peers in the fight against overweight and obesity.

The "Obesity" project was created as part of a competition announced by a platform popular among students and students for creating social projects "Released from theory".
