- Regular training increases self-esteem
Regular training has an equal effect on the body and psyche. Every effort lasting at least 30 minutes increases the production of endorphins - hormones responsible for well-being, self-satisfaction and a positive outlook on life. If you feel depressed, stressed and lack self-confidence every day - start exercising!
When starting training, we often do not realize that in addition to having a positive effect on the appearance of the figure, physical exercise affects our well-being. Exercise initiates a number of processes in the body that help maintain good mental condition: it oxygenates the brain, relieves tension, and improves blood circulation. This is why after training, we have a sense of time well spent and, despite fatigue, there is no shortage of motivation to perform daily duties.
Find out how physical training helps you fight stress, fatigue and negative emotions.
Exercise makes you happy
Any type of exercise lasting at least 30 minutes triggers the production of endorphins. These are endogenous hormones, i.e. hormones produced by the body that evoke a feeling of happiness, contentment and euphoria. They have been shown to act on the same receptors in the brain as synthetic substances supplied from outside, such as morphine. Endorphins are therefore a kind of natural drug that improves mood and relieves pain sensations.
Symptoms of an endorphin "high" can be seen primarily in long-distance runners. It even has a name - the runner's euphoria. This state is not only pleasant, but also makes it possible to cover murderous distances of up to 100 km. Without endorphins and their analgesic effects, such extreme effort would not be possible.
Exercise relieves stress and negative emotions
Due to the pace of life, almost all of us are exposed to stress every day. You can live with it, but sooner or later it will manifest itself in the form of insomnia or uncontrolled outbursts of aggression. Exercise is an effective way to combat the negative effects of stress. Depending on our temperament and temperament, either dynamic or calming exercises can help. Some people will certainly feel better after strength training, running orkickboxing, which allows you to get really tired and thus let go of the accumulated anger. For others, a quiet yoga or Pilates session, during which you can relax, calm down and regain your inner balance, will be more effective.
Exercise allows you to rest
Spending our free time lying on the couch, we do not give our body a chance to regain strength. Especially if we work at a desk every day and we move very little. Then the best form of rest is … sport. Paradoxically, exercise eliminates fatigue and adds energy. This is because exercise stimulates circulation, and better circulation means more oxygen reaches every cell in the body. As a result, the brain, muscles and internal organs work more efficiently and we do not feel tired.
The best form of active rest is moderate cardio exercises: Nordic walking, walking, cycling, cross trainer. They do not overload the muscles and at the same time increase the overall endurance of the body.
Regular training increases self-esteem
Higher self-esteem has a positive influence on the attitude towards the world and towards other people. Lack of self-acceptance is often the cause of numerous psychological problems: depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and eating disorders. These, in turn, make us dislike ourselves even more. Regular training can help break the vicious cycle and make us look more positively at reality. The very fact that we try to change our appearance and do something is refreshing. Watching our body change and the weight systematically decrease motivates us to work even more.
As long as we are motivated to exercise, the final effect of training can heal us from our complexes once and for all and make us believe in ourselves.
