Before going to a camp or a colony, you need to prepare your child well, not only by providing them with the appropriate equipment, but also explaining all the rules that will ensure their safety.
Before you send yourbabyonsummer breakyou should warn them of the dangers. Here are the most important of them:
Safety rules
Don't let yourself be touched
The tutor will take care of the child during the trip. You should tell him clearly about it. Children should know that if they need help, advice or support, they can always count on a caregiver. And when at home he runs to you for help, in the colony he may run to the tutor. Even when he feels unwell, something has been lost or he sees that someone is being hurt. But at the same time, for thesafetyof the child, you must also explain to him that not all adults are good and that a bad person can also happen among the caregivers. They must know what a foreign adult should not do, e.g. touch them in intimate places, hug them excessively, kiss them too much. It is a very difficult conversation, because it is easy to discourage a child from leaving, but the problem will not disappear by itself! So let's carefully point out the "forbidden" gestures to the child and explain that it may or may not happen to him or her. However, if someone harassed him, he should tell you about it on the phone or to another guardian (but not a friend from the group).
Don't leave without knowing
The child must know that he or she must not go outside the facility without the knowledge and consent of the educator. For example, he cannot pop out after drinking, even if the store is across the street. Most accidents are caused by a rush, and a toddler who does not want to be seen is in a hurry and is inattentive.
Don't play with water
If the colonies are above the water, you must teach your little one to be safe in the water. There will probably be a lifeguard, and this calms you down a bit, but does not relieve you of vigilance. So explain to your child that water is not only a great place to rest, but also a dangerous element. Excellent swimmers also drown! The child is absolutely forbidden to enter the water on his own, he should absolutely follow the instructions of the lifeguard and guardian. He should also avoid bathing when he has any problems, has a headache or stomach ache or feels faint.
Active spending time withchild - proven ideas
You must do itEnter and code these numbers for your child
112 - emergency telephone number of the rescue services 997 - emergency telephone number of the police 998 - emergency telephone number of the fire brigade 999 - emergency telephone number for the emergency services 0 601 100 100 - emergency telephone number by the water 0 601 100 300 - emergency telephone number in the mountains
Go to the sun with security
Tanned skin has become a testament to a good holiday, but luckily the children do not know it yet and run away from the sun on their own. Nevertheless, tell the baby (especially if he has a fair complexion) that he should always wear a hat (if he doesn't want to, offer a pirate scarf). And remember to apply sunscreen (don't count that he will do it on his own).
Watch out for mosquitoes, ticks and Sosnowski's borscht
Show your child what a tick looks like (look for example in an encyclopedia or on the Internet) and say that it should not pull it out by itself! Let him show it to the guardian quickly, he will know what to do. The rest can be spoiled by mosquitoes and flies. You don't die from their bites, but if your child is allergic, he should protect himself especially (give him more repellent, rather spray, cream, he probably won't use it). Also tell your child that some plants can be dangerous. One of the most dangerous is Sosnowski's borscht - it can burn you very badly! Therefore, you should stay away from him. Also warn your little one about false blueberries and poisonous mushrooms. Under no circumstances should he try to eat them.
Be careful with ice cream!
Fortunately, food poisoning happens less and less, but it does happen. You won't prevent your child from eating ice cream or a suspicious grilled sausage, but tell him that if his stomach hurts or he wants to vomit, he should tell the educator immediately. These things happen and shame is out of place. Only the caregiver can give medications or call a doctor.
Don't provoke the thief
Bragging about goods is very human, but also very dangerous. Young children are often unable to cope with jealousy and ste althily take someone else's belongings. Worse if stealing becomes a way of life. Therefore, tell the child not to carry all the money with him (some should be returned to the tutor) and not to leave his wallet anywhere. Also, do not give him expensive equipment (e.g. a camera), because he will have more trouble with it than good. And one more thing, before accusing someone of theft, he must be absolutely sure that this person has appropriated someone else's thing.
Watch out for strangers
It is always there during tripssome free time. The toddlers should not distance themselves too much from the tutor, but it happens in different ways. Therefore, warn your child against accidental friends. If someone interferes with them, don't let them talk, sometimes it's better to pretend you don't hear. Let him not tell new people he has met about troubles at home or about his father's new car. When someone asks a child for any help, the little one should run for the caregiver and not rush to help.
Watch your drinks
Sometimes colonists go to local discos. Warn the child to keep their drinks always and everywhere (when they go dancing, they should be left in the care of a trusted person). Cases of adding and adding different specifics are becoming a more and more problem. After such substances, you lose self-control, it is easy to get them to do things. Also, never accept drinks from unknown or little-known people. And of course, under no circumstances should she go and leave the disco alone!
No!
Teach your child to say no. Especially when someone offers him alcohol or drugs. Tell him that there are no safe drugs and that alcohol increases aggression, making the drunk one an easy victim of crime.
