Half a year ago I had a baby, the doctor prescribed me one-component contraceptive pills during the last visit. I had taken the usual contraceptive pills before and I knew that after selecting the package, you would take a break to start your period. However, it was only at home that I read that you do not take a break with these one-component ingredients. Therefore, after giving birth, I did not have a period. Should I still take the pills?

One-ingredient tablets are taken without a break for the menstruation (there are 28 tablets in the package, not 21 as in the case of two-ingredient tablets). If you are breastfeeding, your period may not start for several months after giving birth, and this is natural. In this case, there is no need to stop taking the pills.
