I am reluctant to learn, and more precisely to subjects where there are extensive written topics, e.g. history, geography, biology, and I learn chemistry, Polish and English very well. I can be bored, I can lie idle and I don't know what else, except to learn. I can't get down to them, and when I do, I don't understand half of the material, it's boring etc. and I put everything off for "later". But I want to gain knowledge, learn, get very good grades, most of the time! I want it so badly, but I have no motivation. I tried many ways (rewarded myself for achievements, etc.), but after a while this motivation disappeared somewhere … I also tried to learn on a regular basis, but that was also the problem. And that's why you then come to learn not one but seven. I tried to find a good place to study, take breaks - to no avail! I don't know what the problem is. I can and I can, but something is wrong here! Motivation? Concentration? Desire? They do not apply to these selected items. What should I do? What's the problem?
Is it strange that some items "come in" better and others worse? No, that's perfectly normal. We are already constructed in such a way that we have a natural predisposition to certain types of information, and learning others is very difficult. You shouldn't be so surprised and look for some complicated reasons, because it's quite simple. Motivation also tends to collapse quickly if something doesn't go the way we thought it would or would like it to be. Only very few of us have the ability to keep our motivation level at an almost constant high level. First of all - even though you do not see any quick results - try to maintain the methods you used before - they are good, they only require regularity. They will give results, but not after a few, but rather a dozen or so times. Second - maybe too fast, you expect too much. Maybe your desires and expectations are too high and ambitious. I know - ambition is a good trait, but sometimes it causes such a low mood that, instead of helping, it only harms. Analyze your requirements for yourself. I think you are very ambitious if you think so much about it a year and a half before your final exams… Awhen it comes to concentration and ways of learning - you can find them at various types of courses (it's a good time to think about them), in reading or consult a psychologist. It can also help you develop techniques to deal with exam stress. And it will come in handy in a few months - better start now.
