On August 24, 2014, the largest sports event of the West Warsaw District took place, i.e. the 4th Janusz Kusociński PWZ Half Marathon. The fourth edition of the run was record-breaking in terms of attendance. A new track record was also broken.

On a rainy Sunday morning, the runners who showed up in the starting zone in Błonie were afraid of a bad weather, but the weather turned out to be perfect for covering the next kilometers - the lack of sun, thirteen degrees plus and a light drizzle provided respite and encouraged them to breaking records.

The Competition Office was teeming with life from the early hours of the morning, when some competitors appeared to collect their starting packages - the organization was so efficient that it did not in any way interfere with the course of the event.

Before the start, the competitors were invited to a joint warm-up by the representatives of the Biegam Bo Like Foundation. The runners started from Błonie punctually at 10.00. From the very beginning, a strong group leading the race emerged, which dominated the rest of the runners right up to the finish line.

The route of the half-marathon ran through the communes of the Western Warsaw District, among fields, meadows and trees - the participants of the run paid special attention to its picturesque and unique scenic values. In opposition to the typical city races, "Space, freedom and freedom" prevailed here, according to the slogan of the 4th PWZ Half Marathon.

The fans and volunteers present at the regeneration points located on the 5th, 10th and 15th kilometers of the route deserve special attention - their enthusiasm, lively cheering and cordiality gave the runners strength and energy!
