I'm 22 years old and have gastrointestinal reflux. What can I eat and drink with such stomach problems? Because I don't know if I can drink coffee beans or eat a fried egg? Please reply.

Changes in diet and lifestyle are beneficial in reducing the symptoms of acid reflux. The basic recommendation is to reduce the amount of fat, as this ingredient significantly aggravates the ailments. If a person suffering from acid reflux is overweight or obese, the diet should not only be low in fat but also low in calories. Weight reduction reduces the symptoms of reflux.

In the case of gastrointestinal reflux, the following are allowed: lean types of meat (veal, pork, rabbit), poultry (chicken, turkey) and cold cuts (pork and poultry ham, sirloin). Lean dairy products - milk, yoghurt, kefir, and low-fat buttermilk - can improve heartburn symptoms in some people. Cooking food, stewing without browning, baking in foil, steaming, fat-free frying. Carrots, beets, potatoes, cauliflower, and spinach. Seasoning with fresh basil, oregano or garlic cloves, herbal spices such as fennel, tarragon, rosemary, sage, and dill. A small portion of yeast or biscuit dough. Still mineral waters, herbal teas (except peppermint tea).

The following are not recommended: fatty foods, especially fatty meat and poultry (e.g. fatty pork, goose, duck, pork knuckle, ribs), fatty sausages (e.g. ham, salami, pate, fatty sausages, Brawn). Fatty dairy products - yellow cheeses, camembert and brie cheeses, melted and mold cheeses, fromage cheeses. Fast-food dishes - burgers, hot dogs, cheeseburgers, fries. Eating fried foods. Cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. The latter is a particularly frequent cause of reflux, so you should also give up any kind of onion roux. Foods and products with the addition of vinegar - it is better to avoid pickled mushrooms, vegetables and fruits, as well as salads and salads with the addition of vinaigrette. Hot spices - pepper, chilli, curry. You have to avoid spicy Indian, Mexican or Chinese dishes with cayene pepper, hot pepper, pepperoni peppers and spicy tomato sauces. Chocolate, chocolate covered cookies, chocolate candies, bars, cakes or chocolate cakes (chocolate - containing caffeine, theobramine and fat - contributes to the formation of heartburn). Carbonated drinks - cause belching and thus increase the risk of gastric contents being refluxed into the esophagus. Some juices - the most common symptoms of heartburn occur after drinking orange, lemon, grapefruit and tomato juice. Strong coffee and tea (especially on an empty stomach) and alcohol (in any form). Wearing tight clothing or belts after eating.

Sample menu:

1st breakfast and 2nd breakfast - wholemeal rye bread with margarine, chicken meats. Lettuce with oil, tea. A roll with cottage cheese and radishes. Carrot juice.

Lunch - cauliflower soup, turkey meatballs in dill sauce, boiled potatoes, beetroot, apple juice.

Afternoon tea / dinner - banana with skimmed natural yoghurt. Mixed bread with margarine, chicken ham. Carrots with apple. Still mineral water.

It is recommended to eat 4-5 small meals a day, freshly prepared, minced. The last, light meal can be eaten no later than 2-3 hours before going to bed.
