Hello, I'm 25 years old, a year ago I gave birth to my daughter by caesarean section. I am 170 tall, weigh about 120 kg. At last, my stomach started dropping from pregnancy, but even though I eat a little, I keep pounds. I bought a bike, but I have to admit that after a whole day with the baby I don't feel like sitting on it at all, I don't feel like doing any exercises. What is the best diet in my case? Is diet alone enough without exercise?

Mrs. Julio! First of all, please remember that losing weight is a long-term process, there is no point in using any miracle diets, but be prepared to gradually change your eating habits. With your height, you should weigh about 60-70 kg, but the correct body weight is not only the kilograms due, but most importantly the correct level of adipose tissue. Please expect a weight loss of about 1 kg per week - this pace will be the safest for you.

I don't know what your diet looks like so far, but at the beginning, please regulate your eating habits: eat small-volume meals 5 times a day, approx. Every 3 hours, always remember about breakfast. Another change is the resignation from fast-food, sweets, sweetened drinks, fatty foods. Compose your menu based on vegetables, fruit, whole grain cereal products (e.g. dark bread, thick groats, dark rice), lean meats (poultry) and fish, and lean dairy products.

Please also drink plenty of water - it will suppress your appetite. Regular physical activity is an indispensable partner of a proper slimming diet, so it would be worth spending 30 minutes a day on any exercise. The diet itself will produce results, but less so and over a longer period of time. I would urge you to contact a dietitian in person, who, after a thorough interview and measurement of your body composition, will plan the best weight loss plan for you. Good luck!
