Fat-free bakingis a good solution not only for people on a slimming or non-fat treatment diet. Fat-free roasted meat can be aromatic and soft, you just need to know how to prepare it.

Fat-free cooking methods

  • baking sleeve , which is a special foil into which the prepared product is placed. Meat and fish are baked in its own sauce. Practical to use is a roll of such a foil, from which the required section is cut off and its ends closed with the attached clamps. Some people prefer ready-made baking bags. The foil sleeve cannot be tightly filled, it has to be loosely tied. It is put (on a baking tray or in a roasting pan) in the oven, on the lower shelf, so that the sleeve (which becomes puffed up during baking) does not touch the walls of the oven. Baking in the sleeve is faster than traditional baking, but the surface of the dish will not form an appetizing crispy crust. To obtain it, shortly before the end of baking, you need to cut and open the foil. Baking in the sleeve means … less washing - the used sleeve is thrown away.
  • Roman potis a type of earthenware baking pan with a lid. You can bake not only meat and fish in it, but also vegetables, bread, casseroles, rice and pasta dishes. Such a pot requires special treatment: before each use, it should be soaked in water for at least a quarter of an hour. It is also not allowed to allow rapid changes in temperatures, which may cause the pan to break (do not pour cold water into a hot pan, and do not put a cold one into a hot stove). You even have to remember not to put the pot from the oven on a cold kitchen counter. Do not wash the dish with detergents because they soak into its pores, warm water is enough. A Roman pot costs from about PLN 80.
  • silicone baking dishes , in which meals are prepared similarly to aluminum foil, except that it is not necessary to cut the sheet to size, grease it and wrap it. Thanks to the closed structure, roasted meat or fish are juicy and perfectly absorb the aroma of herbs and spices.
