I have a thin cornea and am not eligible for a laser. Are there any ways to thicken the cornea? I wore contact lenses for a long time due to a serious eye defect. Now I wear glasses - laser correction is my dream.
For over a year, a laser correction method has been available, especially for people with the so-called a thin cornea (this is EPI-LASIK with a Moria microkeratome). You do not provide the thickness of the cornea or the size of the defect, so it is difficult - at least theoretically - to assess whether you could undergo EPI-LASIK correction. When it comes to the cornea itself, unfortunately it is not possible to increase its thickness.
