Hello, I have had "broken" thumbnails on my right and left hands for about two months. It started with large folds on the plate and the nails started to crack and come off. They come off in whole patches, so that the skin under them is exposed - I don't know how to describe it - "tissue"? They come off more towards the back where the toenail comes out. And even when, for example, with Orungal or Lamisil, it is cured (after one-week treatments), it returns again, and what is worse, it does not heal completely. At the emergency room, I was told the nails were to break. And the dermatologist says that emergency treatment is enough. I noticed the greatest improvement after the anti-inflammatory injection. In addition, I often feel the "tearing" in my fingers so strong that it makes me sick and then I fall asleep quickly, I feel pain up to the elbow. In addition, I also have problems with irregular menstruation. It happens that the cycle shift is up to 20 days. Should you suggest the doctor to examine the plaque? Apparently there are such studies. And what to do when the next piece of nails comes off your finger? Do you put ointment on it? Hide under a bandage? Under the patch, I feel that my finger swells and goes numb, then pus appears, and then I need to take ketonal for pain. I will be really grateful for any tips, because I study architecture and he althy nails are very much appreciated. And the doctors? Some people don't even want to see me. Can he go to the hospital? To a dermatologist or surgeon? What to do? Regards and thank you in advance for your answer.
I feel sorry for you and I wish you perseverance in your treatment. Before making a diagnosis and starting any treatment, tests must be carried out: nail mycological and breeding, bacteriological, capillaroscopy determines the condition of blood vessels, basic blood tests - especially glucose levels.
