For several years I have had pins and needles in my head, feeling like something is walking on my head. There are times when I get hot in one place of my head. It feels as if a vessel is loosening. In general, I feel bad, my heart speeds up, I often feel faint. This takes several days and sometimes even goes up to a month. It is worst in the summer. Currently, it has been going on since April, with breaks of several days. It goes to the point where the left side of my mouth goes numb, a terrible pain in the left eye socket. I can't anymore, I've had enough. It will disorganize my whole life, I cannot look after my child or my home. I feel like I'm going to get depressed. I've already visited a neurologist, he initially said it was epilepsy. I took Tegretol for half a year, it didn't help. I went to another neurologist. After the EEG, he said it wasn't epilepsy, but migraine. He recommended Migea when I have these pins and needles, i.e. aura. I'm supposed to take it, but it doesn't help. What to do?
Proper diagnosis in similar cases is sometimes difficult, sometimes impossible. It is worth seeking the opinion of another neurologist from a center specializing in the treatment of migraines, other background complaints (CT or brain resonance) should be ruled out.
