Almond tincture is not very popular in Poland. The almonds themselves are also giving way to native nuts. But it is worth remembering about them, because they are rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, fiber that improves the functioning of the intestines, as well as minerals and vitamins. How to make almond tincture? When can it be used?
Almond tincturehas a distinctive flavor and wonderful aroma. It also contains many vitamins and minerals that are naturally found in almonds. We find vitamin E, magnesium, copper and manganese in it. Almonds are also characterized by a high content of arginine - an amino acid that is part of the carnitine that improves muscle performance.
Eating almonds helps to stabilize cholesterol - lowering the LDL fraction and raising HDL. Due to their beneficial effects on the circulatory system, they help lower the risk of atherosclerosis, heart attack and stroke.
Tinctures have been used in folk medicine for centuries - they help with many ailments, including warming up and preventingviral and bacterial infections. Preparing almond tincture is not at all difficult! The only downside is the time it takes for the tincture to be ready for consumption.
You need:
- kg of almonds
- carnation
- 5 g ground cinnamon
- lemon peel
- 70% liter of vodka
- sugar or sugar syrup to taste
Preparation:
- Take care of the almonds first - you need to scald them with boiling water and then peel them. The skins give the almonds a bitter taste, they will make the tincture very tart.
- Then, chop the almonds and pour over the vodka. Now don't add anything - close the jar and set aside in a dark place. Shake daily.
- After a month, drain the water and discard the almonds. Now add the lemon zest, cinnamon and one clove.
- Put the tincture back in a dark place. For a week.
- After a week, mix the tincture with sugar or sugar syrup - you can get it by mixing 0.25 g of sugar in 250 ml of water.
- Pour into bottles, cork and set aside in a dark place. The product is ready in 6 months.
Almond flake tincture
This version does not require steaming and peeling almonds from the skin.
- kgalmond flakes
- 0.5l of vodka
- 0.5l of spirit
- 2 cloves
- a piece of cinnamon stick
- lemon
- glass of sugar and water - again to make sugar syrup
Preparation:
- The beginning is the same - pour alcohol over the almond flakes, set aside (but move the dish!).
- After a month, we decant and add additives. After a week, mix it with sugar syrup and pour it into bottles.
- In six months you can already drink almond tincture.
